In loving memory of my dear sister, Samantha Ann Hale: 17th May 1971 - 22nd April 2022.

My eldest and most courageous sister. Little ray of sunshine to John and Heather Harold. Devoted soulmate to her husband Brett 'Bee' and loving mother to her daughter Amy.

Against all odds, Samantha fought a long battle with an unforgiving autoimmune disease called Lupus.

Lupus can affect any organ system of the body, including the heart, kidneys, lungs, blood, joints, and skin.

Many symptoms of lupus imitate those of other illnesses, and can come and go over time, making diagnosis difficult.

For my dear sister Sam and all lupus sufferers, please raise awareness of this disease. #makelupusvisible

Scientists at Garvan Institute of Medical Research are working hard to learn more about lupus to help all those inflicted by this dreadful disease.

Please support this important research and help to raise awareness by making a donation to Garvan Institute, in loving memory of Sam.
