March for Mick

My Activity Tracking

10
kms

My target 50 kms

It is important we aid research in all areas of cancer to improve outcomes for the next generation.
I see this campaign as a win win as information is distributed, research is aided and I am encouraged to walk increasing my health and lowering my risk factors.
If you can donate thank you very much, if you can’t then please go for a walk to help your health and well being. ❤️

My Updates

3.3 Reflection walk

Sunday 3rd Mar
Today I had Cobber (our trusty dog)🐕 lead me thru the bush track near home. We walked in silence and remembered all the people we have had affected by cancer of many kinds. I realise Micks March is for bowel cancer research however I choose to discuss more than that.
Closely I have been shown loved ones who have been diagnosed with: melanoma, liver, myeloma, prostate, neuroendocrine, breast, bowel and lung.
As well as research let’s ensure we act on lowering our risks of being diagnosed late stage. Have your Pap smear, mammogram, prostate, skin and national bowel screen tests ON TIME everytime. ❤️

March 2nd

Saturday 2nd Mar
A leisurely 5km walk with friends this morning around Peregian Springs. It was made extra special to walk with my mate who is a cancer survivor. In her honour today my thoughts were with Breast Cancer research.
The aim to aid research is essential for us to beat the nasty C word.
Lots of thanks to Justine and Mel for waiting till I caught my breath to finish my sentence!!❤️🤣

March for Mick

Thursday 29th Feb
I am marching in March to raise funds for cancer research. Being a nurse I have seen the effect of cancer on people and their families. Please give what you can and watch me hit my goal for the futures ahead. 😍
