This page is to raise funds in loving memory of my dad, Reginald John Olliff.
Dad passed away on 18th June 2018 at the age of 93.
Dad died after about 4 years of illness - first losing his speech and then gradually losing his ability to write, walk and care for himself. Throughout this he retained his full mental functioning and decision making abilities and continued to communicate via technology and alphabet boards. He was never given a definitive diagnosis but his symptoms were consistent with Primary Progressive Apraxia of Speech - a little known condition, very similar to Motor Neurone Disease.
He retained his dignity and showed amazing strength and patience throughout his illness and was an inspiration to all who knew him. Your donation will help neuroscience research so that other people will hopefully not have to suffer in the same way in the future.
