March for Mick

In 2022, my best friend Ella lost her dad, Michael Sobey, to bowel cancer. This March, in memory of Michael, me, and many others, will be participating in ‘March for Mick’, where we walk 50km throughout the month to raise funds for bowel cancer research. 

The Sobey’s ‘March for Mick' aims to raise funds to support the groundbreaking research at Garvan Institute of Medical Research to develop more effective treatment options for bowel cancer patients. Our hope is that, someday, a cure will be found. Until then, we strive for treatments that not only extend life but also improve the quality of life for patients.
