In Loving Memory of Katrina Roberts

I'm still in shock and at a loss as to how to honour my beautiful friend, taken far too soon. I've decided that each year I'll donate the money I would have spent going to the theatre with Katrina to a different charity in her name, starting with Garvan. One day I hope this means someone else will get to enjoy delightful and delicious experiences with their much loved family and friends , something they may not have otherwise have had the chance to do without this life saving medical research.

With our loving sympathy to those close to Katrina. We will miss Val's accounts of her latest adventures with Katrina, and the ways in which they were so helpful to each other.

Not a day goes by that we do not remember the great times we had together. Some things in life simply don't make sense or are at all fair in any way. You being taken so suddenly is one of those things. We miss you with all our hearts. Jason and Theo.

Katrina is one of those people who make an instant connection with people. That hearty laugh the love of life, theatre and the effort she would make to fit in everyone's occasions was so special. To make that impact is absolutely beautiful. I remember when that picture was taken at our friend Annette's wedding. Katrina was laughing at one of my partner's awful dad jokes! This is such a positive way to fulfill dear Katrina's wishes, as she would want there to be progress with treatments and cures, to alleviate suffering. She cared and deeply loved her Family and Friends, and will be greatly missed. We will hold her with love, in our hearts forever..

It was such a privilege to know Katrina. She had such a beautiful nature and bubbly personality that endeared her to all those fortunate to be a part of her life. I can’t believe I will not hear from her again with her comments on the Swans games and players. Such a senseless loss for us all.

I worked with Katrina at Westpac. Katrina was a fabulous colleague who always had time for and cared for others. I will miss her support and friendship.

Our lovely friend Katrina. What a beautiful soul that will be so very missed. We are so sad about this tragic news, and still in disbelief. Katrina always had a smile and laugh for everyone. So easy going, and just loved to get on with life. She was incredible with Ben and Sophia. They always looked forward to her visits because she always made time for them, and they always knew that there was a very good chance that she would pitch up with a box of colourful macaroons. Whenever we see macaroons in the supermarket display, we always think of her fondly. We are so grateful and blessed to have had her friendship. Gone way too soon dear Katrina. RIP until we meet again. xxx

Remembering very happy times working with Katrina in "NAB's best ever credit team"(so named by Katrina). More that just work colleagues, our old credit team remains a valued friendship group, of which Katrina has been central. It is just unbelievable that we won't see her again. Will so miss her friendship, joyful laugh, kind messages, netball updates and our long lunches. Deepest condolences to Katrina's family.

I also like Louise worked in the team referred to and continuing to keep in touch is largely due to Katrina’s efforts organising lunches etc. Condolences to all the family and whilst I can only imagine the extent of your grief be assured her loss is also deeply felt by her NAB family.

I am just so heartbroken. Katrina was not only a colleague of mine at the NAB, she was my friend. We always kept in touch long after we left the NAB, and our close knit NAB group could always rely on Katrina getting us all together for a lunch and lots of laughs. She had such high respect for me, as I did for her. I always felt so honoured to be one of her good friends. One minute we would bounce ideas off each other and the next minute we would simply talk about nothing important. Just having her presence or hearing her voice brought so much light to my day. She was taken way too soon. She will occupy a place in my heart forever. My deepest condolences to Katrina’s family. Please take some comfort in the knowledge that she was loved so much by so many.

In memory of Katrina

K. I will always remember meeting Katrina around 2009 and I think from memory I recruited her into NAB and she was a fresh breath of air. Kindest soul and generous to a fault when it came to giving you her time and just being there for you. I am in shock and heartbroken that I have sadly not seen Katrina for a few years but I take pleasure in introducing her to my girlie network who quickly become best buddies. I will always remember that smile and that damn laugh of hers. It has been a privilege and honour to have had you in my life. Miss you my friend xxx

I have just found out about Katrina's sad passing & just devastated having just caught up with her over a coffee a week or so before her passing. My sincere condolences to all the family, her loss will felt. A great person taken so soon.
