In memory of Virginia Head

In honour of the beloved wife of Malcolm & mother of Diana & Michele who passed away on 26th Dec 2024, we welcome family and friends to leave a donation to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Let's celebrate her life by supporting the Garvan Institute of Research and making a positive impact in her name.

Warringah Masters Swimming

To all those with team members be it in a family or a sport….. pull together in co-operation, paddle hard and swim fast. In memory of Virginia Head. PS. Virginia was known and honoured for her contribution to teams…..to her husband Malcolm and daughters Diana and Michelle; to Surf Life Saving teams at Avalon and NZ, to the Manly Warringah Kayak Club, to Warringah Masters Swimming Club, to Dragon Boat Racing teams and others. The longer and harder the event, the better she performed. In swimming she held 9 National Butterfly swimming age group records for Masters Swimming in Australia. Virginia held the 1500 metres Butterfly record for NSW, in the female age group 45-50 , for 31 years. From 1988 to 2019.
