In memory of John Michael Finney

By Jacqueline Hornjik

Garvan brings together world-leading scientists and clinicians, collaborating locally and globally, to advance our understanding of disease, particularly cancer, autoimmunity and genetic disorders.  We are a global leader in fundamental biomedical research and its translation. Our mission is to make discoveries that will improve health for all.  Learn more about Garvan's research here.

John Michael Finney passed away on the 10th of July 2020 at his home in Oxford UK.

At the age of 18, John was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus). The Finney family have created this page because we're inspired by the work of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, in particular, their work in the area of Lupus research. As a researcher himself, we know John would appreciate this gesture.

Please consider donating any amount, big or small for John and for people who suffer from Lupus. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
