MY STORY
Dear Friends,
About 9 months ago, our two families were celebrating Daniel Jankelowitz’ Bar Mitzvah. After one too many tequilas (Ian & Robbie!), we made a half-joking pact to climb the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.
After months of extensive planning, intense-training (for some) and some wondering as to why we committed to this crazy goal, we (the Fischl twins and two thirds of the Blau triplets, together with our Dads) will begin our eight-day adventure on Christmas Day.
We have decided to dedicate our climb to the memory of our very dear friend, Brenda Jankelowitz (Bluma bat Chaim Elchanan Z"L). Everyone who knew Brenda will tell you that she was one of the strongest and most determined women you could ever meet – and definitely one of the fittest. Her courage and strength will certainly inspire us during our summit.
We ask you to support us by donating generously to the Garvan Institute. Your tax-deductible donations will allow this wonderful institution to further its ground-breaking cancer research, hopefully bringing the world closer to curing this dreadful disease.
