As some of you would well know, and many of you won't. My mum was diagnosed with cancer over 2 years ago. She completed treatment which included some major surgery, and was given the all clear for about 2 years. Recently we found out the cancer has returned and she needs to complete 6 months of chemotherapy.
In an effort to support my mum and everyone else who is currently impacted or has been impacted by this shit disease I have set myself a challenge.
I'll complete 100 push ups everyday for the full 6 months mum has to do treatment. A back of envelope calculation totals 18,000 push ups over 6 months.
I have set a donation target of $18,000, to match the number of push ups I will complete. All funds raised will go toward The Garvan Institute of Medical Research
