I've created this page because I want to make a difference.
Last year I lost my Papa to his fight with Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that grows in connective tissue like bones, nerves, muscles, tendons, cartilage and blood vessels of the arms and legs.
Garvan Institute of Medical Research helped Papa by providing him with wonderful care. The treatment trials he participated in gave him hope and he wanted others to gain from what they learnt through treatment research. I was inspired by this so I wanted to raise money to help them give hope to others.
I have been growing my hair to give to an Aussie charity that makes wigs for sick kids but also so that when I cut it off in 2 weeks I'm hoping to have reached my fundraising goal. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can. The more people that know about the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
