Paul will be remembered as the most loving, knowledgeable, humorous and generous man who I was fortunate to call my dad. He lived a rich and interesting life, based around family, great friendships and connection to the land. He was an incredibly hard worker and physically strong, even during the weeks shortly after his diagnosis. It was very difficult for me to see my dad’s strength wane in the weeks before his passing.
My family & I are deeply saddened to lose him but take solace in his bravery and positivity until the very end. Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in January 2025, and as a family we were heartbroken that treatment would not be an option. Despite this devastating news, Dad accepted his fate and showed incredible courage. His battle was unfortunately short lived, and he passed away a mere 10 weeks after his diagnosis. Dad has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled but the memories of his life will provide us with some comfort.
Pancreatic Cancer is a cruel and aggressive disease characterised by its asymptomatic nature, late diagnosis and limited treatment options. Our aim with this tribute fund is to enhance the research and awareness of a disease that has such a dire prognosis. With increased funding, we hope to support research into new treatments that will help other patients and their families in the future.
Dad, this is for you. Our memories of you and your stories will endure.
