Hi all. In memory of Michael Sobey, my mum and I (as well as many others), are walking 50km in the month of March to raise vital funds which will go towards the Garvan Medical Institute’s ground breaking research into bowel cancer treatments.
Events like ‘March for Mick’ are incredibly important as they not only help to raise awareness about the conversation surrounding bowel cancer, but also aim to raise funding to ultimately find a cure, as well as the ability to provide treatments that extend and improve the quality of life for patients.
A special thanks to the Sobey family and the Michael Sobey Foundation for running this event, who are a not-for-profit foundation raising funds for bowel cancer treatment.
