I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

I'm fundraising for the Garvan Institute of Medical Research because their work into conditions like Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) gives hope to people facing this rare and often sudden illness. I was shocked to find that a friend of nearly 60 years had contracted this syndrome which left her unable to walk or move parts of her body. She was in hospital for 8 months and now after 2 years is still slowly recovering after having to have home assistance.

GBS can strike without warning, turning a healthy immune system against the body’s nerves. It’s scary, confusing, and life-changing — but research is helping us understand why it happens and how we can stop it. That’s why I’m supporting Garvan’s work to uncover the science behind autoimmune diseases like GBS and find new paths to treatment.

I am running an ongoing fundraiser to sell quality clothing at a second hand shop. These goods are being donated by friends and acquaintances who are happy to do a bit of sorting out in their wardrobes and donating clothing, shoes, scarves, handbags etc. I am already thrilled with the response from both women and men. So please come and browse every so often as the collection will be added to every week. Come to the Good Bank Gallery at 141 Main Rd McLaren Vale from the 2nd August. 'Worn in the Wild' Quality clothing and Accessories.

The shop has been going for a month and within this new recycling, reusing and repurposing business that is fighting against waste, the thrifted, and remade quality clothes are selling. Thank you to the now nearly 20 donors who have contributed clothing to the Garvan Fundraiser . There are new racks every week with people who believe in this journey to value items and not throw them to landfill. So keep popping in and you may find a quality bargain for yourself or someone in your family.
